CLCGA Girls County Championships- Falmouth Golf Club – 31st of July 2024.

Summer had definitely arrived, it was a hot, humid day for Cornwall Junior County Champs which was held at Falmouth Golf Club on 31st July 2024.
As previous years the Girls competition was held alongside the boys. It was great to see some new faces competing in what was their first medal competition.
The stableford competition was won on countback by Eva Newman from St Enodoc with 38 points on what was her first County Competition (beating Erin Williams also her first County Competition).
The Nett Cup was won by Eliza Grubert from St Austell with an fantastic 64 Nett.
This year’s U15 Gross Cup was won by Isabelle Wakeling from Falmouth Golf Club with gross 84 winning on countback.
This year’s Junior County Champ runner up was Ella-Grace Crocker from Carlyon Bay with a gross 84 winning on countback (beating Isabelle Wakeling and Mabel Gosling-Brown)
Winning this year’s CLCGA Girls County Championship was Lizzy Nile from Carlyon Bay with a gross 75 (4 over par) a fantastic finish for her final year as a junior.

We are all looking forward to South West Girls Junior Intercounties which is being held at Cumberwell Park Golf Club starting Monday 5th August. Fingers crossed for a 3rd win in a row.
