16 players were gathered by our new County Captain – Vicky Lee Comyn, at a dry but very chilly Perranporth today – 23/01/22. The players went out in groups of 4 playing a better ball format.
After every 6 holes each pairing swapped partners so that each player got to play with everyone in their group.
Richard Sadler (Perranporth pro) walked 6 holes with each group, offering course management guidance and helping any player with specific advice, if asked. Thank you so much Richard, for your time today, it was very much appreciated.
It was great to see players , old and new, get back together again after so long, and there was plenty of “banter” and laughter amongst the players who had a thoroughly enjoyable day being back together again.
Vicky and our County President, Jill Simmons, were out on the course all afternoon to give support to the players.
After the round the players had a well needed hot drink and scrummy homemade cakes, which went down “exceedingly” well. Thank you Vicky for organising this and to Sean, behind the bar, for serving everyone so promptly.
A big thank you to Perranporth G.C for allowing the use of the course for the first County gathering of the year.
The next County training will be held on the 20th of February at St.Enodoc G.C at 11 am.
