Today was the last County Girl’s training session of 2022 and what a lovely way to finish.
13 girls played against a Cornwall Boys Barbarians Team (a mixture of ages and handicaps from different clubs) unfortunately 2 boys couldn’t make it today so we managed to recruit 2 parents to play for the boys team which also meant I had to play for the girls team.
The 18 hole match was a game of 2 halves The front 9 was played as foursomes and the back 9 was individual match play. The girls took charge after 9 holes with a lead of 5.5 to 0.5
However the boys came back fighting and won 7 out of 12 matches, but it was not to be and the girls ran out winners 10.5 to 8.5. Some fantastic golf by both teams.
Well done Captains Maddie and Liam for a fantastic day of golf.
