Girls Junior County Champs

What a beautiful day for the girls to be playing the Junior County Champs which was held at Carlyon Bay on Sunday 13th June. 13 girls entered and it was lovely to see some new faces joining the girls section.

Our County Champ for 2021 and retaining the trophy from 2019 was Kira Barnes from St Enodoc with a gross 77. Runner up and winning the Plate was Lizzy Nile from Carlyon Bay with a gross 84.

Winning the Nett Trophy this year was one of our new girls Lily James from St Mellion who scored a nett 72, runner up was Hannah McGrath from Carlyon Bay with a nett 75.

Winning the Stableford Cup was Jessica Prior from St Austell with a great 40 points and runner up was Maddie Watson from Carlyon Bay with 36 points.

Well done to all the girls for competing, it was lovely to see you all together after a long time off. 

Thank you to Lady President Jill Simmons for coming up and supporting the girls. She said ” I really enjoyed today, the girls were brilliant and friendly and a great advert for the County”

Thank you also to Chris Pountney for organising the competition and entering all the scores, Carlyon Bay President Keith Gay for seeing the juniors off from the first tee and the CGU Junior Committee for ensuring safety and well being of the juniors in the warm weather.
