Sunday, Finals: Heavy overnight rain gave way to showers for the 3 finals.

Championship: In the morning Georgia was 1 up after 10 but Megan turned it around winning 13, 15 and 17 to go 2 up at lunch. It was a ding dong match in the afternoon with Georgia gaining control at the 27th to go 1 up but she lost the 28th for the match to go all square. Megan won the 31st to go 1 up and they halved the remaining holes for Megan to win on the 36th green. This was a closely fought match of the highest quality played in the right spirit. Well done Megan a worthy champion!

The Team selected to play in the County Match at St. Enodoc the 1st week of July is: Laura Andrew, Wendy Briggs, Megan Giles, Jan Harrison, Nikki Hodge, Victoria Pawley, Danielle Price, Georgia Price, Emily Toy and Olivia Trewhela (reserve Cath Hopkins).

Advanced Plate: Jan had a good battle against club mate Angie but finally took the honours on the 17th making this her 7th title.
Plate: Anna and Pauline had a very tight match and there was never more than 2 holes between them but Anna finally won on the 18th green.

Saturday, Semi-Finals: Sunshine prevailed for the semi-finals. In the 1st semi-final Megan had 4 birdies and was 4 up against Laura after 10 and won her match on the 13th. In the 2nd semi-final Georgia was 5 up against Danielle at the same stage and went on to win on the 16th. Megan meets former Champion Georgia in the final tomorrow.
Advanced Plate: Jan was taken to the 18th by new comer 15 year old Kira and will play Angie in the final.
Plate: Anna Sendall v. Pauline Clifton in the final.

Friday Matchplay: The weather remained fair for the start of the matchplay. In the morning top qualifier Megan cruised into the 2nd round and defending Champion Laura also played well to go through. Colette had a very close match against Olivia to win on the 18th green. Danielle, Wendy and Victoria also prevailed and Georgia had a good match against Jan finally winning on the 15th green. In the afternoon Megan sailed into the top semi-final beating Liz on the 12th and Georgia was 3 under par when she defeated Victoria on the 10th and goes into the bottom semi-final. Laura prevailed against Colette and will meet Megan tomorrow and 17 year old Danielle will play Georgia.
Advanced Plate: Angie Chapman had a good game to win on the 19th and 16 year old Kira Barnes beat Steph Curnoe and will meet Jan Sargeant tomorrow.
Plate: The match between Sue Pascoe and Debbie Cain went to the 21st this morning with sue winning but Anna Sendall claimed the honours this afternoon on the 19th. So it’s Pauline v. Meg and Nova v Anna in the semi-finals

Thursday: 36 holes qualifying: The Ladies Championship returns to Launceston after 18 years and on a fair morning 58 players from 13 clubs, including 4 juniors, set out in the 110th Championship. The best score of the morning round was returned by past Champion Emily Toy with 5 under 68 followed by another past Champion Georgia Price with level par 72. Megan Giles 73 and 17 year old Danielle Price 75. Rain came in for the afternoon round but Megan Giles was 1 under to score 72 and claim top qualifier spot followed by Georgia Price 2nd qualifier (72+76). Angie Chapman claimed fame by having a hole in one on the 15th hole. Unfortunately due to ill health Emily Toy has had to withdraw from the Championship
